Southern Utah Winter Landscapes

It snowed overnight here in Southern Utah. I took the opportunity to get out and take some photographs of the beautiful red mountains and snow. I wouldn't categorize myself as a landscape photographer, so these are just for fun.

 I have a few more to upload but the coloring is being messed up when I upload so I'll have to try that later.

As I was driving up the road back towards town I thought the power lines looked so neat, so I grabbed my camera in the seat next to me and snapped this real quick :)

Since yesterday's photos wasn't uploading properly in Chrome, I'm doing it in Mozilla. If you are using Google Chrome web browser and these photos look purple and dull to you, please check them out in Mozilla instead. Sometimes I can't stand technology.

Yesterday I went on a hike with my brother. We went up above the old airport. The view was amazing. Here are a couple of panos I took:

I think I would have chosen to print these for the Heritage Days today if I would have known we had an entire room to work with.

These were taken October 2010 right after a huge cleansing storm. I sure do love weather photography.

Heritage Days - A Desert to a Dream photos

I am apart of the Southern Utah Photography Guild. We have monthly meetings and at each of those meetings we have a theme and are supposed to bring a printed image that is relative to that specific theme. I was able to go to my first meeting a few days ago. I didn't have even time to print but I was looking through my photos, I think I would have decided on this one for the theme of "Reflections":
